PersonalInvestmentAccount.ie is a plain-English guide to Ireland's new Investment Account. It is owned and run by SMP Financial Ltd, a regulated Irish financial broker. It is not a government website.

SMP Financial Ltd, trading as MyLife.ie, is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland (C42382). SMP Financial also operates MyLife.ie and smpfinancial.com.
Content on this site is written and reviewed by Gar Spollen, Director, SMP Financial.

Why we built it and how we are paid
We built this site to explain the new account clearly and to keep it up to date as the rules are finalised. It is also a commercial site. When accounts become available, we intend to offer Personal Investment Accounts through MyLife.ie, and we may be paid commission or fees by product providers when a customer opens an account through us. Reading this site and joining the email list are free.
How we handle facts
- Every rule is taken from official Department of Finance documents, which we link to.
- Anything not yet confirmed is marked as not yet announced. We do not publish estimated figures as fact.
- Each page shows the date it was last updated.
- If you spot an error, email info@smpfinancial.com and we will correct it.
Information, not advice
This site gives general information. It is not financial, tax or investment advice and does not consider your personal circumstances. The rules described are proposals until the Finance Bill is passed, and they may change.
Privacy
If you join our email list, SMP Financial Ltd is the data controller. We collect your email address and the page you signed up on. We use them only to send you the updates you asked for about the Personal Investment Account and related services from SMP Financial, on the basis of your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing info@smpfinancial.com. We do not sell your data.
